Pet friendly stay at Shalgar Villa

Most hotels near Kaas either say no to pets or say yes and then make you feel unwelcome. We do neither. Dogs have run around this lawn since before it was a homestay. Pets are accepted on prior request only, so please tell us about yours at the time of booking and we will confirm.

House rules for pets

Pets are confirmed on prior request only. During the stay they stay off beds and the dining table, are leashed in common areas, and are never left alone in a room. Please carry their bedding, bowls, towel and waste bags. Any damage is charged at actual cost, which almost never comes up.

Walks and outings around Kaas

The road past the villa is quiet enough for a leash walk at sunrise. Kaas Plateau itself is a protected eco-sensitive zone with its own rules, so plan a lake-side or village walk instead of taking a dog onto the plateau.

When single rooms are let out, we place pet families away from guests who prefer distance. Booking the whole villa removes the question altogether and is what most pet parents choose.
